Hootsuite – Similar to Tweetdeck, though does have a paid element for more functionality.

Sprout Social – “Best-in-class social media management and engagement software.”

Bufferapp – a neat tool for helping you to schedule tweets. Also has a neat ‘suggestions’ tool. It has a free and paid version.

Bit.ly – ideal for shortening URL’s. Don’t forget you can connect and use your own shortened URL from here.

Goo.gl – Google’s very own URL shortener.

Riffle – a pretty cool Chrome extension that allows you to explore the Twitter accounts of others.
