Estate Agency Software From Dezrez

Marketing Tom Media has recently been working with Dezrez Estate Agents from Swansea. The company specialises in Estate Agency Software for both property lettings and sale. The business has been around for a few years and is recognised as one of the main software suppliers to estate agents across the UK. Estate agencies purchase the software solution from Dezrez and this allows them to have a full, bespoke system that covers all areas of their business.

Dezrez's property sales and lettings software offer a complete solution for clients, which allows for the marketing of properties, estate agency client management, a way for estate agents to reduce administration and better reporting an an estate agency business.

CAM Diploma In Digital Marketing A Success

Marketing Tom is pleased to announce that it has submitted, on behalf of its students, the first assignments of the CAM Diploma In Digital Marketing. The qualification which has three elements: Digital Marketing Planning, Digital Marketing Essentials and Marketing and Consumer Behaviour is the first Digital Diploma that the CIM have rolled out and currently only 5 centres are piloting the course: Marketing Tom is obviously one. In the New Year we plan to make all our Digital Marketing courses available to overseas students online.

Marketing Tom Media Emarketing Award Reports

Just had the first batch of reports in for the eMarketing Award and we managed to hit 10. I am very pleased with this as I have only been running courses under Marketing Tom Media since May and everyone so far has managed to submit their report in on time. The next intake for the report will be in December and I would like to think that we will exceed 10, thus putting the centre up with the top-performing CIM Centres for this qualification.

The eMarketing Award is almost fully subscribed for November and I have now finalised dates for the first course in January. It will run on the

19th, 20th, 26th and 27th January, 2009

The venue will be the ESIS Centre in Treforest.

On another note, the Social Media Marketing course will also run in November. The date wil be the 26th November and it will be run out of the University of Glamorgan. Here is an overview of the course:

The Social Media Marketing workshop aims to show how companies and organisations can harness the power of new tools and applications such as Facebook, Flickr, Blogging, YouTube, Twitter, Online PR, Social Bookmarking, Wikis and more to reach new audiences and to build their online communities.

The workshop is quite interactive – a lot of discussion plus trying out some of the tools – and is designed to focus the mind on how each application could potentially be used by an organisation. Group discussion also allows us to discover what the pitfalls and possible solutions could be. The workshop costs £175 (+VAT) and the maximum numbers will probably be around 8.

CIM Emarketing Award Books

Marketing_book The tutor manual for the CIM eMarketing Award lists Online marketing: a customer-led approach by Richard Gay as its 'essential reading book'. This detailed book covers all aspects of Internet Marketing and includes chapters on:

Strategy and Models for the Virtual World, Online Marketing Planning Issues, Online Marketing Research, Online Buyer Behaviour and Online Marketing Legal Issues.

The previous 'essential reading book' was Emarketing Excellence by PR Smith and David Chaffey. Both books are very good reading for the eMarketing Award course, though I would say that the latter more closely resembles the content guidleines as set down by CIM for delivery of this course.

Additional Reading for the eMarketing Award from CIM include:
Hunt, B. and Moran, M. (2005) Search engine marketing: driving search traffic to your company’s website.
Reynolds, J. and Mofazali, R. (2004) The complete e-commerce book: design, build and maintain a successful web site.
Siegel, C. (2005) Internet marketing.

New eMarketing Award Dates Announced

Marketing Tom Media has just confirmed the dates for the next eMarketing Award course. It will take place on November 6th, 7th, 13th and 14th at the University of Glamorgan. Since announcing the dates we have already received two bookings with the maximum number of attendees that we're looking being 6. For more information, please take a look at the eMarketing Award page where you will find more details on the course, costs and a booking form.

Emarketing Award Course Fully Booked

Though I didn't relish returning from hot Spain to wet Wales, it was certainly very nice to receive confirmation that Marketing Tom Media had received a further booking for the eMarketing Award course in September. That takes the total number of students up to 6 and it means that I have now hit my ceiling for that coures. In coming courses I may go up to 8 but 6 is a good number for now.

Since the first course that I ran in May, the mix of students to date has been quite varied and I have had people from FE Colleges, the Wales Tourist Board, a manufacturing firms, a national brewery company and business support agency and financial services company either come on the course or due to come on. Their discplines mainly cover marketing, IT or web design.

Welcome To Madrid New Media

You may well be asking why this website looks so similar to this website. Well, I had to set this site up as a way of trying to increase traffic to my main corporate site www.marketingtom.com. It seems this site is appearing well below my competitors for search terms such as emarketing award or cim emarketing and it probably has something to do with the fact that I have a .com domain hosted in the States. Let's hope this site fairs better.
